Another dream of you

Dear Maryam,

Auntie Shana dreamt of you the other night. It was quite long and winded dream, .. but you were with Auntie Shana and Uncle Sham. All of you went for a bus ride and you sat on Auntie Shana's lap.

She said they were sending you off to somewhere... forever.

P/s - Aunty Shana pesan, lain kali Maryam datang jumpa dia, bawak Azim sekali tau. And jangan lupa introduce Azim kat Aunty, sebab Aunty takut Aunty tak kenal Azim.

Maryam, sorry that day Aunty biarkan Maryam jatuh tertonggeng. Uncle Sham tu lah.... Siap dia... Jangan serik visit Aunty lagi yer..... Miss ya.

As I walk this journey of a bereaved parent, I notice that my whole world changed. My beliefs aren't the same. My priorities aren't the same and my future is changed forever. My whole life has been shattered, and I didn't know where to begin to pick up the pieces or if I even had the will to pick up the pieces.

Everyone around me, even though very attentive to me, continued functioning in their lives. I didn't know where I fit in any more. I was alone, trying to figure out what happened in that split second when they told me Maryam was gone
